Our team sat down to create handmade cards for our local police department. Each card was thoughtfully written by hand, filled with messages of gratitude, encouragement, and appreciation for the sacrifices these officers make — often without recognition. In a world that moves fast, we wanted to slow down and do something personal. Writing each card reminded us that behind every badge is a person — someone who shows up daily to keep our neighborhoods safe, to help in moments of crisis, and to support our community with strength and compassion. When we delivered the cards, the appreciation was mutual. It was a simple gesture, but one that carried real meaning. Sometimes the smallest acts — a handwritten note, a few kind words — can make the biggest impact. We are incredibly thankful for our local law enforcement and the dedication they show day in and day out. This moment was our way of letting them know they are seen, valued, and supported. Recently, our team had the honor of surprising a teacher at Sunburst Elementary School with a Teacher Appreciation basket as a small token of our gratitude. What started as a simple delivery quickly turned into a powerful reminder of just how much impact one person can have. This teacher shows up each day with patience, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to her students — often going above and beyond to make sure every child feels seen, supported, and encouraged. The moment we surprised her, her genuine reaction reminded us why recognizing educators matters so deeply. It wasn't about the basket itself, but about letting her know that her hard work does not go unnoticed. Seeing her smile, hearing her words of appreciation, and witnessing the love she has for her students reaffirmed why community partnerships like this are so important to us. Teachers help shape the future, and we believe they deserve to be celebrated not just during Teacher Appreciation Week, but all year long. We are proud to support Sunburst Elementary and all the educators who inspire, guide, and uplift our community's children every single day. It can mean feeling safe on the walk to school, comfortable in the classroom, and free to focus on being a kid instead of worrying about the cold. Recently, our team had the privilege of visiting the Emergency Room staff at Banner Boswell Medical Center to deliver treats and a small token of appreciation. ER nurses are often the first to respond in moments of fear, pain, and uncertainty—and they do it with compassion, strength, and grace, shift after shift. We wanted to take a moment to simply say thank you. Thank you for the long hours, the emotional resilience, and the care you provide not just to patients, but to families during some of their hardest moments. The smiles, gratitude, and quick conversations we shared reminded us why community connection matters so much. It's these small acts of kindness that help build stronger relationships and let our local heroes know they are truly seen and appreciated. We are honored to support the incredible nurses and healthcare professionals at Banner Boswell and look forward to continuing to give back through the Subaru Love Promise—one meaningful moment at a time.

An adopter arrived at our event unsure of what the day would bring. She had recently lost her beloved dog and wasn't sure she was ready to adopt again. That changed the moment she met Lil Sister. As soon as she stepped into the van, Lil Sister rushed to the gate and gave her gentle kisses through the bars. When we opened the gate, Lil Sister melted into the adopter's arms. In that instant, she knew this was her new best friend. She took Lil Sister home that day and never looked back.
Season of Giving, One Pint at a Time - Miranda B
The weeks surrounding the holidays are often one of the most critical times of the year for blood supplies. With busy schedules, travel, and seasonal illnesses, donations tend to decrease while the need for blood remains constant. By coming together to donate, our employees, customers, and community members helped ensure that patients in emergency situations, surgeries, and ongoing treatments would continue to receive the care they need. Every donation has the potential to save multiple lives. Whether helping a trauma patient, a child battling illness. or someone facing a medical emergency, these donations represent hope, compassion, and the power of community. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who participated and grace the gift of life this holiday season

This Christmas season, our team came together to create handwritten holiday cards for residents in local nursing homes who may not have family or loved ones nearby. Each card was filled with thoughtful messages, well wishes, and heartfelt reminders that they are seen, valued, and cared for. While a card may seem simple, we know that a few kind words can bring warmth, comfort, and a sense of connection to someone who might otherwise feel alone. Through this small act of compassion, our team hoped to bring smiles, spark memories, and remind each recipient that they are not forgotten. This is what the Subaru Love Promise is all about. Creating meaningful moments, spreading kindness, and making a positive difference in the lives of others.
Turning Love Into Action for Our Community - Miranda B
At Peoria Subaru the Subaru love promise is not just something we say. It is something we strive to live every day through meaningful actions in our community. This holiday season we were proud to host our 4th annual build a bike event. This years event we were honored to build and gift 34 brand new bikes to local children in need. The bike represent much more than transportation. They represent freedom, confidence, independence and the opportunity to create lasting childhood memories. For many of the children who received a bike, it was their very first one. In addition to the bikes we were able to stuff and donate 200 stuffed animals to Phoenix Children's Hospital Cancer Center. These donation were made with the understanding that small gestures can bring comfort during difficult times. The stuffed animals were delivered to children bravely facing serious illnesses, offering encouragement, emotional support and reassurance that they are not alone. To further support families during the holiday season, Matt Moore (our owner) also provided each child 250 dollars to help the families with Christmas gifts, essential items and seasonal needs. We recognize that the holidays can place additional financial stress on families already facing challenges. Our goal was to help ease that burden and allow families to focus on spending meaningful time together. What made this event truly special was not just the number of bikes built or gifts donated but the sense of connection felt throughout the day. Seeing children smile as they received their bikes reinforced why community involvement is at the heart of everything we do.
